SurvMan MK II provides users with the necessary situational
awareness and operator tools for the designation, management, reporting and
recording of contacts detected and identified using aerial surveillance
sensors such as radar, AIS, EO, visual, ESM and acoustics. The system design concepts are:
·
Commercially
available ruggedized hardware based on current technology
·
Open architecture
and readily supportable
·
Simple and common
operator interfaces
·
Modular software
design
·
Releasable interface
source code
·
Reliability
·
Growth potential
·
Redundancy
·
No export
restrictions
·
Lower cost than
available military systems
The system provides
the operator with a GIS based situational awareness plot over which radar,
AIS, ASW, ESM, EO/FLIR or manual contacts and route/navigation data is
automatically plotted. The
system uses ruggedized COTS equipment to provide a very capable but cost
effective solution for surveillance needs. Survman.pdf
